About Me

My name is Stephen Scott.  I originally hail from New York, and made my way out to Washington to attend DigiPen Institute of Technology.  Art and video gaming has always been my passion, even from a young age.

As a kid I took classes at the Westchester and Peekskill Art Workshops, learning Flash, Photoshop, and traditional art skills including illustration, sculpture and cartooning.  My game development drive was fed during the summers where I attended InternalDrive and took courses in Video Game Creation, and Programming and Robotics.

At DigiPen I worked on two DigiPen games.  I was the Lead Artist for Oneiro, a 3D Adventure Platformer, which placed you in the a dream world as a Teddy bear, tasked with returning the sheep of dreams to safety.  Here I crafted every piece of art in the game (other than the ground plane).  And started my foray into technical art, working with Rigs and Exporting.  The second team I worked with was Brutal Beatdown, this team upped the artist total.  I took on the role of Lead Environment Artist, and also did some UI work.

During my time at DigiPen, I worked for InternalDrive teaching Teens some of the courses I took when I attended.  As well as newer courses with tech I had become acquainted with during my time at DigiPen, including the Unreal Engine 3, and 3D Studio Max.  I also took the time to create my own Video Game Startup, Algitt Studios LLC.  If that wasn't enough I overloaded some more by taking up some contract work on the Xbox Live Indie title War of Words, producing all of the art for their game.

In January 2010, I began working at Exato Game Studios, an Xbox Live Arcade startup.  I currently work there as a generalist, with my work ranging from 3D Character and Hard Surface modeling, to Rigging and Animation, to texturing and 2D Assets.
